A meeting with economic actors and representatives of civil organizations
The Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of Laayoune Sakia El Hamra and the regional management of the National Social Security Fund of Laayoune Sakia El Hamra organized, Thursday, December 17, 2020, a communication meeting with economic actors and representatives of civil organizations on the subject of the latest developments of the National Social Security Fund, including the exemption from late fees, fines and debt recovery.
This is in accordance with the application of Ministerial Decisions No. 004/2020 of 25/09/2020 concerning the total exemption of penalties for delays, fines and debt recovery costs associated with the period June 2020 and earlier to the benefit of companies affected by the pandemic of Covid 19, as well as Decision 002/2020 of 01/07/2020, which provides for a partial exemption of penalties for delays, fines and debt recovery costs associated with the period 2016 and earlier. The rate of exemption varies from 30% to 90% depending on the duration of the payment chosen.
In this context, Ms. Amara Fatima, Regional Director of the National Social Security Fund in Laayoune, stressed that the organization of this meeting is part of the fund’s strategy to support businesses and employees, in order to modernize its services and facilitate the tasks of the private sector to contribute to the economic and social development of the country.
She also pointed out that the National Social Security Fund has strengthened its intangible services, which is part of the Fund’s efforts to improve the quality of its services in order to strengthen the dematerialization of its services with its customers.
For his part, al-Dimani al-Mahjoub, the tax collector at the regional directorate of the National Social Security Fund, said that the exemption of entrepreneurs affected by the repercussions of the new Corona virus, compared to the fines and claims of June 2020 and previous months, is aimed at all companies affected by the pandemic (Covid19), and which meet the conditions provided for in Decree No. 2.20.331, indicating that they can benefit (as from 25/09/2020) from the joint ministerial decree no. 004/2020, which provides for the total exemption from penalties for delays, fines and debt collection costs related to the month of June 2020 and previous months.
In order to simplify procedures for companies wishing to take advantage of the benefits of one of the two ministerial decisions, the National Social Security Fund has created an electronic portal dedicated to this purpose.
To activate the use of one of these procedures, the operator concerned must access this space via the damancom.ma/collection portal.
For the first time, the National Social Security Fund has developed an explanatory guide and a video to clarify the procedures to be followed on its official website: www.cnss.ma and on its official social media pages.
