Condolence Letter from Sidi Khalil Ould Rachid to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, May God Protect Him
Bismillah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim
His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God protect and support him,
Allah said: {And give good tidings to the patient, those who, when disaster strikes them, say, “Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return.” Those are the ones upon whom are blessings from their Lord and mercy. And it is those who are the [rightly] guided}. (Surah 2, Verses 155-157).
It is with great sadness and deep sorrow that we received the news of the passing of Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Latifa, the spouse of the late King Hassan II and mother of Your Majesty, may God protect you. On this painful occasion and this immense loss, Mr. Sidi Khalil Ould Rachid, President of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Services of the Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra region, extends his most sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathies to Your Majesty, to the Royal Highnesses the Princes and Princesses, and to the noble royal family.
We fully understand the magnitude of the loss you feel at this difficult time, and we pray to Almighty God to grant you patience and solace, and to envelop the soul of the deceased in His vast mercy and to admit her to His paradise with the righteous, the martyrs, and the just. Princess Lalla Latifa was an example of generosity and high morality, leaving us a rich legacy of values and principles that we cherish and strive to uphold.
We also offer our prayers to God, the Most High, to protect and preserve you, to grant you health and well-being, and to guide you in your noble endeavors to serve this dear country. Indeed, we belong to Allah and to Him we shall return.
The loss of Princess Lalla Latifa is a great loss for all of us, but we are certain that her noble legacy will remain engraved in our hearts and minds. This brings us great comfort, as the trials of this worldly life are a test from God for His faithful servants, as Allah said: {Those who say, when disaster strikes them, “Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return.”}. We pray to God to accept our dear deceased in His vast mercy and to make her final abode paradise.
Please accept, Your Majesty, the expression of our deepest respect and distinguished consideration.
