Participation of Mr. Sidi Khalil Ould Errachid in the tax conference

The President of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of the Laayoune region, Sakia El Hamra, participated in a workshop during the tax conference held on 3 and 4 May 2019 in Marrakech under the theme: “Training, support and assistance for the successful transformation of the commercial sector”.

The President of the Chamber, Mr. Sidi Khalil Ould Errachid, highlighted the role of the southern regions in the Moroccan economic fabric as a gateway to Africa. He stressed the importance of liberalizing the commercial fabric of the Laayoune Sakia El Hamra region by reducing the number of actors in the process of importing goods (military, gendarmerie, customs, police…)

With regard to competition, the President of the Chamber stressed the importance of tea, an essential element of the Sahrawi table, a raw material that is imported mainly from China.

With regard to training, the President mentioned the role of the OFPPT and the University of Ibn Zahr as the main actors in training in his region. However, he stressed that the quality of training is not commensurate with market needs. For example, he mentioned the importance of the role of coordination with chambers of commerce in the training of traders.
