Word from the President

ولد-الرشيد

The Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Services of the Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra Region is a cornerstone of the institutional and economic framework of the southern provinces of the Kingdom of Morocco. Our existence is a living institutional embodiment of the noble vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, aimed at equipping these cherished regions with modern public institutions capable of keeping pace with the scale of major development projects.

We operate according to a “new development model” that establishes sustainable development as a fundamental paradigm, guiding all our strategies aimed at achieving economic integration and enhancing the region’s territorial development.

Regional Competitiveness and Leadership

Today, the Chamber stands as a pivotal actor in the national economic dynamic, contributing to the transformation of the Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra region into a modern investment hub and a logistics and commercial platform linking Morocco to its African hinterland.

Our operational ambition is centered on reducing regional disparities and achieving “developmental convergence” with the Kingdom’s major economic hubs by providing economic infrastructure and industrial systems that match, in quality and efficiency, those of major regions such as the Casablanca-Settat region and the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region.

Areas of Our Strategic Intervention

The Chamber is committed to providing a comprehensive service system for its members and economic actors, based on two key pillars:

1. Enhancing Professional and Service Support:

Digitizing and streamlining administrative procedures for issuing professional licenses.

Issuing certificates of origin in accordance with international standards to promote local exports.

Providing legal and economic consulting to enhance the competitiveness of businesses.

2. Developing infrastructure projects and attracting investment:

Overseeing the development of new-generation industrial and logistics zones to attract foreign direct investment (FDI).

Modernizing the management mechanisms of wholesale markets and commercial centers to organize local value chains.

Contributing to the planning and implementation of infrastructure projects that enhance the region’s investment attractiveness.

Our Commitment to the Future

At the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Services of the Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra Region, we place improving the business climate at the top of our priorities, believing that the concerted efforts of public and private sector actors are the only way to achieve a comprehensive economic renaissance that ensures prosperity and well-being for the region’s residents and the nation as a whole.

– Sidi Khalil Ouled ERRachid –

President of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Services of the Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra Region
