Participation of the President of the Chamber in the Board of Directors of the Agency of the Hydraulic Basin
The conference room of the Wilaya of the region Laayoune Sakia El-Hamra hosted, Tuesday morning, October 11, 2022, a meeting of the Board of Directors of the agency of the water basin of Sakia El-Hamra and Oued Eddahab for the year 2021.
This meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Secretary General of the Ministry of Equipment and Water, and in the presence of Mr. Abdeslam Bikrat, Wali of the region of Laayoune-Sakia El-Hamra, Mr. Sidi Hamdi Ould Errachid, President of the region of Laayoune Sakia El-Hamra, and Mr. Khalil Ould Errachid, President of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of the region Laayoune Sakia El Hamra, Mr. Secretary General of the Wilayat of Laayoune, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors and Director of the Agency of the Water Basin of Sakia El-Hamra and Oued Eddahab
During this meeting, the Secretary General of the Ministry presented the various works and achievements of the Water Basin Agency, as well as the approval of the minutes of the last meeting held on April 16, 2021. During this meeting, the following points were also discussed :
- Review of the recommendations of the last Board of Directors ;
- Presentation of the financial report for the 2021 budget year;
- Presentation of the hydrological status of the basin;
- Presentation of the results of the Agency’s achievements for the 2020 budget year;
- Presentation of the Agency’s achievements for the year 2021 ;
- Presentation of the Agency’s action plan and proposed budget for fiscal year 2022.
The Secretary General of the Ministry confirmed that the hydrological year 2021 has experienced a deficit of rainfall in the watershed, except for the regions of Smara and Tan Tan, where the deficit was estimated at 53% compared to the annual average, and he also stressed the programming of many projects in the region.
In his speech, the wali of the region of Laâyoune-Sakia El-Hamra emphasized the monitoring of the implementation of projects and programs structuring at the level of the water basin of the region of Sakia El-Hamra, after which the discussion was opened to the deliberations of the Council.
