The meeting of the Minister of Industry and Trade with members of the Chamber and professional associations of the region of Laayoune Sakia El Hamra
The Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of Laayoune Sakia El Hamra organized this evening, Saturday 1 October 2022, a meeting chaired by Mr. Riad Mezur the Minister of Industry and Trade and Mr. President of the Urban Municipality of Laayoune Moulay Hamdi Ouled Errachid.
This meeting was attended by members of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services and representatives of associations of traders and entrepreneurs.
This meeting addressed a number of key points, the most important of which are:
- Appreciate the efforts made by the President of the Chamber of Commerce, Sidi Khalil Ould Errachid, through the resolution of a set of application files and the study of problems facing the commercial and industrial fabric.
- Appreciate the efforts made by the President of the Urban Community of Laayoune Sakia El Hamra in supporting commercial activities in the model market of Laayoune. A group of traders also presented several proposals, issues and new ideas to promote the commercial sector and the modern industries sector at local and regional levels. The meeting witnessed a group of speeches and focused interventions that addressed a group of issues related to import and export, and high prices (high inflation).
- Discuss the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, which has negatively affected the work of some cooperatives that produce a range of foodstuffs such as local couscous.
- To demand the creation of industrial units specialized in the production of traditional Malhfa without resorting to its import from abroad.
In conclusion, the President of the Chamber thanked the participants, stressing its constant dedication to serve the interests of its citizens. Minister Riad Mazur, during his responses and answers to the interventions and questions of the speakers, undertook to address the interests of his ministry to all points and problems known by the trade sector and services in the region of Laayoune Sakia El Hamra, which were put on the table of discussion, which was valuable and rich in data.
